Having watched Turnabout Storm, which is a crossover webvideo series featuring Phoenix Wright in Equestria that I cannot recommend enough, this was something that popped in my head when I was playing with ~generalzoi
's pony maker shortly after. It took me a while to think of what Edgeworth's cutie mark would look like outside featuring a District Prosecutor's badge, but then I thought of the scales of Truth and Justice, which are likewise featured on the District Defence Attorney's badge.
This cutie mark I made for him combines I think a lot of what Edgeworth is. The scales represent not only his strive to find the truth and bring about justice, but his potential as a defence attorney. He's still, however, a prosecutor, represented by the badge. Overall, the cutie mark shows that he's unique as a prosecutor, as he cares very, very much for truth and justice, which is why the scales are tilted up rather than sitting straight or pointing down as they do on most scales. Logically I think that would make the scales more sensitive, a fragile balance I think Edgeworth is all to aware of. I think Phoenix's cutie mark would be almost identical, except to have a defence attorney's badge where the prosecutor's is, to highlight how despite being on opposite ends of the playing field, Edgeworth and Phoenix fight for the same thing.
This was not an easy cutie mark to draw, because I couldn't get it to look right (and it still doesn't look quite right in the badge) and to add insult to injury, the badge is about two pixels too far to the left, but since I made it in MS Paint, I can't exactly fix it, and it kinda makes the scales look like they're not level, even though the scales themselves were mirrored before I added the shine. I made it transparent in Muro.
I have no mind if you use this, just credit me appropriately.
