Phoenix 'Nixie' Wright

First and foremost, I really wish I could take credit for the idea of converting Nick's tie into a pretty necklace, but it wasn't my idea, I saw it on a genderbent Rise from the Ashes thing (whose genderbent Phoenix and Edgeworth are pretty much perfect for me).

Anyway, this is the genderbent Phoenix Wright. I kept the name since Phoenix can also be used for a girl, but her two nicknames are different. Instead of Nick, she has Nixie (it was going to be Nicky/Nicki/Nikki but I wanted to be different so nyeh) and instead of Feenie, Iris's male counterpart called her Nee-nee/Ni-ni.

Nixie I drew wearing a dress, which wasn't actually in my original concepts in my head. I always saw her as a skirt-over-slacks kinda person, so originally it was just a skirt over a pair of fitted slacks. She would have worn a white blouse with a light blue cardigan and the dark blue jacket in the picture, but I decided on the fly to make it a dress. It's pretty form-fitting until the skirt flares out at the hips. I did toy with the idea of making the bit in the middle light blue, but I didn't like how it looked so it just stayed white. Her hair is the same design I gave it in my first drawing of the bent-gender Phoenix (and Dahlia! I called him Dahl as a placeholder until I find a name I like that keeps the connotations behind Dahlia's name). Also, you can't see her shoes, but she wears black ankle boots, the flat kind because I feel Nixie would suck at walking in heels and fall on her face 90% of the time (but Apollonia wears them). They're kinda slouchy in my head and have buckles. However as I can't draw feet worth beans I didn't draw them; the picture actually cuts off at her ankles with her trouser legs, but it's cut off earlier here.

I genuinely can't explain why she wears a skirt over slacks in my head, but she does. And they actually are slacks, not leggings or jeans; they're just slim-fitting slacks.

I also kind of think of Nixie as being on the buxom side, unlike the flatter-than-a-washboard Apollonia, but as I have no concept of boob size in drawings I don't think that came off well. Meh. I tried. I have a hard time drawing realistically curvy people and not making them look overweight, but in my head, Nixie is curvy where Apollonia is very straight-framed and slender. This has to do with the fact that Nick is actually broader than Apollo, at least in the 2-D games, so I just translate that over as "she's curvier". Apollo is quite slender for a guy in the series, beaten out only by Tateyuki Shigaraki/Raymond Shields/Atticus Stalwart, who I call Twigs since he's the skinniest guy in the entire series. But after like two hours I just ragequit and drew Nixie as you see, and I think if her arms and legs weren't so slim, the effect I wanted would have come out, but I can't draw arms and legs any better than I can draw shoes usually.

And also, I wanted to make her eyes more a dark blue-grey colour, since Nick's eyes have an ambiguous colour but somehow they just ended up blue cuz I didn't make the bright part blue-grey, too, it's just blue.

Also no sketch this time just the coloured version because the sketch sucks
