Sadako Kimura

The name "木村 貞子", or "Kimura Sadako", just popped in my head and I wanted to draw the person who floated into my head at the mentioning of the name. Kimura is in about the sixth grade, I think. I've never drawn children properly before, and this one is by far the best I've done. Kimura attends middle school. I had fun designing her and her uniform. Kimura is someone who gets referred to as "Kimura-kun" I think, when she's not "Sadako-chan". She prefers "-kun" because she thinks it's cuter, even though she's not really masculine at all. She became "Kimura-kun" in my head when I thought of her name. Kimura is a cheerful girl who hates being late and actually likes to do homework.

This is Kimura's winter uniform. Her summer uniform doesn't button up nor is there a shirt under it, and her sleeves are obviously much shorter. The boys' uniform is pretty unremarkable as far as boys' uniforms go, your average gakuran, edged in sky blue and buttoning more to the right side, with grey trousers with a line of sky blue at the bottom. Their summer uniform has shorts and a shorter-sleeved version of their winter jacket, made of a thinner material (which I know isn't terribly accurate but neither are the microskirts girls wear in anime and so, I don't care). I haven't bothered to name her school, yet.
