Music Adventures on Youtube

  • Mood: Guilty
  • Listening to: Sadly, "Sugar Rush" by Dream Street
  • Eating: ... whatever this stuff is my mom makes
  • Drinking: Pepsi.
K, today I was listening to this one song (which I cant remember right now... go figure) and somehow, I made it down to the band Play, and somehow I wound up with a band called Dram Street.

And I had to laugh at myself. Not only were the like... the Mini-Backstreet Boys, BUT, I still know the lyrics to their songs. STILL. And it's been like... 10 or 11 years since I actually listened to them.

It also occurred to me that the song stuck in teh back of my head was their song, "Sugar Rush".

yes... I have no idea how I made it from a song I'm certain was in Japanese to a Swedish Girl Band to an American Boy Band from the early 2000, late 1990's, which also featured Jesse McCartney when he still had a high voice.

and I am laughing at myself still.... yeah... because I'm still listening to "Sugar Rush". Friggin' catchy tunes.

... you make me so excited, and I don't wanna fight it, I start to blush, you are my sugar rush. Ain't nothing better baby, is it for real oh baby? I'm losing touch, you are my sugar rush :music:

On a less nerdy note, I got a Nintendo DS (well, me and my little brother have one... but whatever). But alas, we have no GAMES. What are the odds? Its RED and SHINY.

*hums Sugar Rush while walking off*

Christmasy Stuffs?

Yours truly is bored... so she's posting a journal to celebrate it?

Yeah... I just wrote like... 15 billion Christmas cards, and am really starting to feel that 12 pains of Christmas song. Luckily I never have to find a tree (ours is fake... cuz thats cheaper)

We put up OUR lights in the rain... because nobody else is that stupid.

And as such, I am going to try and draw a 12 pains of Christmas picture in all my classes this week (because its not like we're doing anything important on a Friday (The Friday before 2 weeks of break no less) with an assembly in the morning, meaning all classes are shorter than usual, and its more of a "hand out your presents, sit down and STFU you over-excited brats" kinda day.

Its also the day we can wear our pajamas to school. Because we're all cool like that.

... I have fake snow on my shoulder, where the hell did that come from?

Also, I have never seen so many gold, red and green sparkles in my LYFE than on half of these posters. They shed glitter onto the floor where I sit at lunch. Meaning that my friends and I stand up and everything from the waist down on our backs is covered with gold glitter.
w00t!

Anyway, putting paper cuts from gift wrap, lack of tape (despite having a bazillion rolls of it), lack of boxes (have to be hunted down), lack of original or varieties of wrapping paper (or lack of one that isn't three feet tall), paper cuts on my tongue from licking the aforementioned fifteen billion Christmas card envelopes, lack of original things to write in said cards, and all that other good shit aside, I'm having fun. Mummy bought me a hat (for which I am earning my keep for by wrapping all the gifts and writing a gazillion more christmas cards).

I love my hat. Its like... TYL Kakipi's hat, but the braidy things are longer and my hat is sparkly.

Yeah... So... twelve days of Christmas doodles will come on the 12 days of Christmas (boxing day through January 6th) if I can use a scanner on those days.

Oh!!! If you ahve never heard the Twin Peak's Cast version of the 12 Days of Christmas... even if youv'e never seen Twin peaks (like me) its still hilarious.

or maybe I'm just easily amused.

"Eight dancing midgets!"

I'm not sure what lyric is my favorite, but that one is still funny.

Also, exactly HOW many gifts were given on the last day? If I didn't know that eveyone would cheat and just google it I'd ahve a contest to see who could answer it first. ahaha. I'm bored.

Hm...

My emoticon says "I WILL PUNCH THIS TO THE EXTREME!"

My school breaks the law (kinda)

LOL ok so its like, against the law to have anything to do with christmas at school- no making of Santa decorations in class, no dressing up as an elf (which I realllllly want my advisory teacher to do. it'd be hilarious), no nuthin', cuz some guy was offended by the Christmasy-ness. Just treat the week before the "Winter" holidays like a normal week.

My school sais LOLZ FUCK THAT SHIT and our spirit week is as follows:
Monday- Christmas decoration day. Basically, if one wanted to, they could wear lights and Christmas baubles and stuff to school. I totally want to clip some plastic ornamates to myself now XD

Tuesday- Candy cane day. Fuck... yes.... I love candy canes. One wears red and white to school. I'm so on this XD I can even alternate (white hat, red sweater, white skirt, red leggings, white boots).

Wednesday- Snow Gear Day. With how cold its been, its dress-as-warm-as-you-can-and-not-look-like-a-fuckin'-retard day. Also, a day to wear hats. yay!

Thursday- Christmas Character Day. Technically called "Holiday Character day" on some "politically correct" posters on campus. I'm apparently dressing up as a reindeer. Someone needs to be my Santa companion and I need an elf. Kufufu.

Friday- PJs/Snuggies. Essantially, one could sleep in, rollout of bed, put on some slippers/shoes and go to school. I think I might do this... with an additional three layers under these PJs. The high is usually freezing or below these days. I get up in the morning and its 15 degrees outside... at school its like.... 12. Cuz its on a lower altitude and shit.

So yeah. My school tells the law to eff off. Rock on. I go to a rebel school.

Also, why are schools not allowed to show Christmasy spirit but the mall is? There are more people at the mall. Maybe its cuz of the kiddos. Meh.

Anyway... for Thursday we're trying REEEEEAL hard to get my advisory teacher, mr. Hall, to dress up as an elf and answer the phone as "Hello, this is Mr. Hall the elf, whats your favorite color?". Because it would be hilarious. It occurred to me when this was brought up in class on Tuesday that I have never seen the movie "Elf". It is on my to-do list, along with knitting four scarves, gift-wrapping, shopping, and baking a jubilee of cookies.

Final Football game against Curtis High

Last night was our final football game (and holy shit was it FREEZING, I was dying). The band did not do their halftime show. Again.

But more importantly, there was an injury on Curtis High, as in the student was knocked unconscious, and the medical team had to come out and take him to the hospital. The band, team, cheerleaders and Raiderettes (the drill squad) are supposed to STFU and sit down. The band is incredibly disrespectful, especially the trumpets who didn't even sit, let alone shut up.

I have no idea how the student is doing as of now, but if it was bad, we would not have finished the last three and a half minutes of the game. The band thought he had died at first, since he was not moving at all, and when they (finally) got the poor guy on the stretcher, they completely covered his body with a blanket (though they pulled it away from his face, but not at first).

There has evidently been one serious, career-threatening injury a week in my district. Lets just hope the Curtis player isn't hurt that badly.
